Want to learn about international development? Visit Afrigadget!

Afrigadget is a wonderful blog I came across a few months ago.  It addresses ingenuity at a grassroots level.  The work that is being done on the international development scene so rarely gets reported that so many times we miss out on some important developments (take for instance the development of Plumpy’Nut, which has single-handedly brought 100k+ children out of starvation).

As their website says, “AfriGadget is a website dedicated to showcasing African ingenuity. A team of bloggers and readers contribute their pictures, videos and stories from around the continent. The stories of innovation are inspiring. It is a testament to Africans bending the little they have to their will, using creativity to overcome life’s challenges.”  It is a wonderful attempt at capturing all of the beautiful work being done in a part of the work that definitely could use it.
