Making Green from Green: CBS Launches SBC Certificate Series with Event

September 2, 2009 at 1:52 PM Leave a comment

The green world is moving fast. Legislation was just passed by NYC to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings. In the fall, the U.S. Senate will tackle the Energy Bill that includes aggressive cap-and-trade rules. And in December, nations will meet in Copenhagen to decide whether to recommit to the Kyoto Protocol.

To help the Columbia Business School community stay current with emerging green trends, and put member careers on a sustainable path, the new Sustainable Business Committee is launching an eight part series on green business that will run from October 2009 through June 2010. Members who attend six out of eight events will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

The Series will kick-off with a launch event, “Making Green From Green”
